Second UN Resolution to Disarm Iraq Passes

After frenzied diplomacy on all sides the US coalition of the willing was able to persuade the spoilers of France, Germany, Russia and China to support the US backed proposal. A second UN resolution to disarm Iraq passed the UN Security Council by a wide margin. Of course, so did a third, fourth, fifth sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth and a seventeenth resolution passed unanimously. However, France, Germany, Russia and China vowed to block any resolution that may inadvertently lead to the actual disarmament of Iraq... -NineOh
